Sunday Meetings
See our meetings page for details.
Sunday Serving
Areas where we need volunteers: working with children, tea & coffee making, welcoming, setting up the rooms and clearing up afterwards, projection, PA set up and operation, music and singing.
As we meet in hired premises, it takes a lot of people to make Sunday meetings happen! Gill Barber is always on the lookout for new recruits for these tasks. Getting involved in serving is a great way to get to know people and to feel a part of the church!
If you have been with us about six months and would like to work with the children, please see Gill. For other jobs like tea making and welcoming we’re more relaxed about the six months.
Other tasks such as collecting and setting up the PA equipment and operating the overhead projector don’t appear on the rota but they are vital functions and if you are interested in getting involved, please let one of the leaders know.
Whether you are in a cell or not, help with clearing up after the meeting is always welcome, especially as some of the cell leader families have young children, and two are part of the worship team!
Home Groups (cells)
As well as our Sunday meetings, we have a number of smaller groups which meet in homes on weekday evenings. These home groups (sometimes called cells, house groups or life groups) provide an opportunity to develop caring, supportive friendships as we share our lives together and support one another in times of need, both practically and spiritually.
We also encourage the home groups to look outward, seeking to draw others in to experience God's love through his people.
SoL News
*SoL News is normally published monthly and provides up to date info on what's going on in Streams of Life and beyond. email us by the Friday night prior to publication if you have anything to contribute. We also send SoL News out by email.
Outreach
Although we don't regularly organise specific outreach activities as a church unless God prompts us, we encourage our home groups to reach out. We also make our people aware of and encourage them to volunteer for the many inter-church ministries which take place in this amazing city, reaching out to many with the love of Jesus. Some, such as Healing on the Streets, HOPE@Motofest , Good Neighbours and Coventry Winter Night Shelter, are part of HOPE Coventry, of which Angus is a board member. More below.
Giving
We encourage all those who feel God has joined them this church to participate in regular generous giving. Although many of us feel it right to give a tenth (tithe) of our income, this is not a requirement. The important thing is that each one does “just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion: for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Cor 9:7)
Our main offering takes place on the first Sunday of each month as an act of worship. We bring our offerings forward and present them to God. Regular givers who are taxpayers are asked to sign a Gift Aid form which enables Streams of Life (as a registered charity) to claim the tax back (25p for every £1 given) on your giving at no extra cost to the giver. See Sally or Angus for a form.
An increasing number of people give by monthly bank standing order, which ensures regularity and makes administration, especially of gift aid, much easier. We encourage you to do this. The yellow slips available on the first Sunday enable you to continue to participate in the offering.
Church bank details are available by emailing contactus@streams-of-life.co.uk or using our contact page

Reaching Out
We look to reach out into the city of Coventry and bring love and hope to the people of this city. Much of this is done through churches working together in unity. We also support charities and people doing God's work:
